    Im a 21 year old lesbian and have recently come out to a few people close to me. Has to be said i feel great having told somebody, and even better knowin how supportive they are! Im still not fully out yet, the thoughts of tellin my parents and everyone else is a scary prospect! But im ready to start meetin new people finally!.... What are the good places to go to?? Meetings, clubs etc? Thanks in advance :)

    Hello! Welcome and congratulation c: 21 and queer also, I'm from Dublin though so the only advice I have for going out relates to Dublin ... I'm sure there are others on here, however, who could tell you where's good outside the pale!

    That said, I reckon BeLonG To's over 18's group could be a good start to meet other lgbtq peeps [I haven't been in a very long time but they sometimes go out for a drink after so that helps!] Places like Panti, The Front Lounge and the George are standard gay bars in the city, but WAR in Andrews Lane Theatre is also awesome and attracts a crowd our age. Technically it's not actually a gay night it just attracts loads of lgbtq people so you could even get your close friends to go as loads of straight guys and girls and everyone in between go!
