    Details of public consultations

    The Department of Children and Youth Affairs wants to hear from young people aged 15 to 24 in relation to how we can all make Ireland a better place for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex young people. 

    With this in mind they are holding a series of consultations across the country during the month of May.

    For All Young People

    • Saturday May 6th, 11.00 - 15.30 at the Gibson Hotel, Dublin 1

    For LGBTI+ Young People
    • Thursday May 10th, 19.00 - 21.30 in IT Sligo Student Centre
    • Saturday May 13th, 11.00 - 15.30 at Croke Park Conference Centre, Dublin 3
    • Tuesday May 16th, 18.30 - 21.00 in NUI Galway, Árasmoyola Classroom MY216
    • Wednesday May 17th, 18.30 - 21.00 in Edmund Rice Youth and Community Centre, Manor Street, Waterford
    • Thursday May 18th, 18.30 - 21.00 in Dundalk OUTcomers, 8 Roden Place, Dundalk
    • Satuday May 20th, 11.30 - 16.00 in Cork City - location to be confirmed

    Youth organisations/ schools should nominate young people to attend by filling out this nomination form. All young people must complete an assent form and their parents/ guardians must also complete a consent form. Completed forms should be submitted directly to the Department of Children and Youth Affairs by email to nationallgbtyouthstrategy@dcya.gov.ie
